Horizontal Kandi Bracelet

Hi, my name is Christina and I'm 12 years old, I'm so happy to be showing my craft on my mom's blog! I got inspired to do this craft because my mom is always doing so many cool crafts, so I decided that I wanted to do a cool craft too and that is why I am doing a tutorial on how to make a horizontal kandi bracelet.

You should have 28 beads for each color

Cut the string arm's length

Tape the end of your string to your workspace

Bead on the first color of beads as though you were making a regular bracelet

Once you finish stringing on your first color of beads double knot the ends of your string (make sure you leave a lot of string on one end and a little bit of string on the other)

When you start on your second color skip a purple bead and slide the string in the next purple bead and continue around the whole bracelet

It should look like this when you skip a purple bead

When you finish stringing the beads all the way around it should look like this, you should add a second layer of the same color (string on one bead then slide the string tthrough the next bead and add another bead and so on)

So in the end it should look like this

Once you have finished adding all of your beads find were there is a space in your bracelet and tie a double knot to it

When it is finished it should look like these two pictures

Bottle Cap Bracelet

We had a party a couple of weeks back and had a lot of bottle caps left over. I new I could come up with something creative! This is the first project that I did using the caps.
I think it looks very trendy! Perfect accessory for a beer festival{if I ever go to one! :)}!
I would love to make it with Pepsi caps but I finally stopped drinking soda!! YEAH!

bottle caps, beads, stretchy cording, hammer and nail

Step 1: Make holes on the middle of both sides of the bottle cap
 Step 2: Insert the cord through the bottle cap holes and add a bead, repeat until you finish all 6 bottle caps{depending of the size of your wrist}

Step 3: Tie the cord with a double not.

 The finished project!

Life is a Beach

I changed my mantel a little bit to put us on a beach mood since we will be leaving to California soon!
The "Life is a beach" sign was purchased at Ross and usually is in my craft room but since I am not crafting as much during summer I want to have it in a place that I can see it often. :)
The flowers were made out of soda cans and you can see the tutorial HERE

Love my turtle! I got it while living in Brazil! It is handmade by a Indian tribe from Amazonas!

Beachy Keen

If you follow my blog, you already know my love for the beach{even though I live miles away from the ocean}. I grew up by the ocean so every time I am decorating a room, I always look for Beach accessories.  My porch did not scape this rule! :) It is my happy place!

I got the "Beachy Keen sight at Marshal's for $4 on clearance!!

One of my favorite island in the States is Sanibel Island, FL. We went there in 2002 with my oldest daughter that was them 2 years old{now she is 12!}. I really want to go back again, but this time with my three children. It was one of my top vacations for sure! Just a beautiful place to visit!

Hope my ideas give you some beachy inspirations!
