What a cool project! With wax crayon shavings, some wax paper, string and an iron you can make these beautiful shamrock! It is really cool how the sun streams right through them. Great project to try out with the children!
Material: wax papaer, kraft paper or any other kind of paper, iron and green crayons.
Cut a piece of the wax paper and fold and half; unfold. Deposit wax-crayon shavings (made with a handheld pencil sharpener) evenly but not thickly across one half of the paper. Fold the clean half of the paper over the shavings. Protect your ironing surface with kraft paper. Place the waxed paper on the kraft paper, and cover it with another sheet of kraft paper. Iron lightly on medium heat, c
hecking after every few passes. Stop when all the shavings have melted; let cool. Next, trace and cut out clovers of various sizes(I used cookie cutters). String each clover with a silk thread for hanging.
