Beachy Kneen Party

My husband LOVES the beach! When the time came to celebrate his day, we knew we want to do a beachy theme!! Both of us were born and raised by the ocean and for the first time we are living miles away from the beach. All the props used for this party are part of our family room decor. Since our daddy is not too crazy about sweets, we combined the sweet and salty treats on one table.  I found a gorgeous free printable beach bags tags on The House of Smiths site, that I used as food tent cards, cupcake toppers and favors(embellished with seashells buttons), they were designed by
Jones Design Company

For the sweets, we had taffy, starfish s'mores, pearly bites(family fun recipe), pearl cake balls and mini cupcakes. We also had herb focaccia and tuna dip served inside real shells, crabwish(chicken sandwich - family fun), shrimp cocktail, sea salt chips and whale crackers(kids favorite). We served dad's favorite drinks, caipirinha and LandShark larger. We also had lemonade for the children.
As for the children's actives, I set up an under the sea painting station for the kids to make sea creatures handprints for the dads to take home as a keepsake. They all came out so cute!
It was a perfect day to relax by the pool and play with the children.

Rainbow Fish Party

We had my son’s 3rd birthday party couple of weeks ago and I’d like to share with you some of the highlights of the party. My son loves water and the rainbow fish book so we decided to do a Little Fish Party! The party was a breeze to style using the printables from Amanda’s Party to Go. The colors were so bright and fun! For the dessert table, the children enjoyed fishy cupcakes, fish food (m&m’s), fish pops, cake pops, marshmallow pops, jelly fish (Jello), bait (gummy worms in a bucket), school of fish (gummy fish), and deep blue sea juice. Before they hit the sweet table, the little guests ate Whale crackers, fish sandwiches, fish skewers (fruits), fin-tastic veggies and submarines. The kids also enjoyed an afternoon full of games and crafts. The activities included Go Fish, Pin the Scale on the fish, Fish Hand Print Art, Face Painting, and Freeze little fish dance. At the end of the party, the guests  took home the ‘catch of the day’ (fish string bag on a fish pole) full of goodies!

Graduation Party Ideas + FREE Graduation Party Printables!

May is Graduation month!
It was a pleasure to style this Graduation Party using Bird's FREE Graduation Printables.                                                                                                                          This party was planned and styled in 48 hours thanks to Bird's printable! Printable can turn a simple party to an extraordinary event! Since I din't have enough time to bake, I purchased all the bake goods and dressed them up using cupcake toppers and chocolate stars. The sweet table include diploma rolls(swiss roll), fancy cakesters(added some gold sprinkles), cupcakes, almond kisses, mini reese's cup, push up cupcakes and caramel popcorn. To bring color to the table, I used yellow lanterns and I wrapped a foam board with royal blue wrapping paper and made mini banner using yellow card stock with blue ribbon. Since I didn't have time to order or bake a cake, the center piece was a blue and yellow tissue poms to coordinate with the printable. I embellished the goodie bags, popcorn cups, drinking glass using the printables. We also served pretzel diplomas, pineapple star bites, blueberry, vegetables toast and tomato, fresh mozzarella and basil as appetizers. We got some photos props such as GRAD glasses and headbands from the Dollar store for the "You are a Star" photo booth.

The ideas behind the printable designs is that is can be used for any type of graduation party, be it junior high school or college -  And Bird is offering these Graduation Party Printables as FREE Printable Downloads to all Bird's  Facebook fans!!
